Has open AI's ChatGPT won the race against Google's Gemini?
Industry

Sacremento: Ever since Open AI launched its AI chatbot ChatGPT back in November 2022, Google has been playing catchup. Google has the advantage over Open AI thanks to its inhouse AI chip manufacturing and huge cloud crucial for AI processing. But rushing to release a tool without sufficient testing has pushed Google further back in the race for supremacy.

The recent debacle as Forbes called it arrived with Google CEO Sundar Picchai putting a pause on the Google’s Gemini after it gave images of Black people as U.S. Senators back in 1800s. Picchai blasted his employees and called this ethnical and historical error as unacceptable.

This latest development is a further roadblock to Gemini as it tries to keep pace with ChatGPT. ChatGPT with immense testing and longer duration in the market has over the time improved his responses drastically. It has also laid out multiple frameworks on the type of prompts that help provide best responses.

A lack of testing for Gemini has proved to be calamitous for Google as it has to rework on AI’s training. With Chat GPT already having a significant consumer advantage, Google is running out of time to improve Gemini.
