Microsoft goes Google, OpenAI way as Copilot goes rogue
Generative AI

New York: Microsoft Corporation’s Copilot has reportedly gone rogue as it as it is serving up users with violent, offensive and sexual images. This continues a recent trends of big companies AI tools like ChatGPT, Dalle (OpenAI) and Gemini (Google) coming under fire for inappropriate responses to query.

As reported by CNBC, a Microsoft AI engineer Shane Jones blew the whistle on Copilot Designer producing “abortion rights, teenagers with assault rifles, sexualized images of women in violent tableaus” among other images. The report further stated that the AI also generated images of demons and monsters in inappropriate situation.

The problem with generating these images is that it goes against Microsofts principles regarding AI. This is further proof a rising trend that the AI tools that have been packaged as complete are far away from being the finished product. This will further increase doubts regarding whether the tools can work without extensive human monitoring or not.
